Overview:
Did you got that annoying "Unknown Model" in LGUP and at present are struck download mode. This commonly happens when you try to root with muddy and do something wrong to mess upwards entire process.

What Actually happened in my case:

I had a friend who tried to root his H990ds with dirtysanta but due to some issues the whole procedure messed and his phone was struck in download way. Phone was unable to go pass LG logo and kick. LGUP was unable to recognize the phone. Nosotros tried different ways, dissimilar drivers but all in vain. So, we were able to do this process and it worked finally.
This process was tested with H990ds. Hither files for H990ds are provided. You need files corresponding for your model.

Possible Cases:
So I will non waste matter the time. Possible cases:
1: LG V20 stuck on download mode and it is now not being recognized by LGUP and yous can't practice anything, because no other tool is available.
2: You installed a custom ROM and now LGUP is not recognizing it. Yous want to go dorsum to stock and tin't do it.
3: Anything bad happened during flashing process, PC restarted, phone went off or whatsoever. And at present you can't bring it back to life.

Before asking a question, first, see FAQ in 3rd postal service. In that way you can salve a lot of time.

Things You need:
one: LG Up
2: Uppercut
iii: Drivers
iv : LG Flash tool (the one used to bring LG G2, G3 back to stock).
v: LG Firmware extract tool
(All to a higher place files can be constitute in 2nd post)
6: Stock ROM for your device.
I used V10g KDZ for H990ds. Yous need to download KDZ of your specified model.
7: Dll specified for your model (in 2nd post H990ds dll is provided)

Process:
Beginning:
Uninstall all other tool, previous driver (including other phone's too). Restart PC
Simply to avoid problems. I tried this procedure many times on Windows 10 64-bit and it always worked for me. So it has no problems with new Windows OS.
Now follow procedure in verbal guild.

1: Install Latest LG drivers.
Put Phone in download
(Agree Vol+ and connect to PC while it was powered off).
Wait until information technology finishes installing drivers. Alter COM Port to 41.

( Refer here for changing this, If you can't understand that.)

At present DC information technology from PC and go along it staying in Download mode.

2: Install LG Wink tool and copy megalock.dll to installation directory or it won't work.

3: Install LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.

four: Excerpt LG Firmware Extract and copy Stock KDZ to that folder.

v: Run WindowsLGFirmwareExtract.exe. Click on Open up.

6: Select your KDZ. Select all content off kdz.

vii: Click on extract kdz. Look for kdz to extract. You volition notice a dz and LGUPc.dll.

8: Run LG Flash Tool. Select Manual Way.

9: Select LGUPc.dll in dll section.

10: Select .kdz in S/Due west section (You will accept to select show all files to make .kdz visible).

11: Now Brainstorm downloading by pressing "Yellow Right Arrow". Connect phone in download mode.
The step will fail at 4%. At present Disconnect telephone. Practise not plough off phone. Just disconnect information technology.
12: Now get out and start LG Wink Tool once more. Select Manual Manner. This time Select LGUP_H990ds.dll this time for dll department
(You need dissimilar dll for different model. For instance, "LGUP_VS995.dll" for VS995 variant )
xiii: Now select that extracted dz in S/W section this time. Click on First Pointer. Connect phone.

14: This time the flashing will begin. It will go upto 150%. Look for it to complete.
Later flashing phone will boot into a screen with a big 2 on screen. After some time it will change into large 3.

15: When it changes into big three. Pull the battery and showtime the phone.
Your phone should start later on some time. It should be detected by LGUP.

For Telephone Stuck at Big 2:
If your phone stuck at big 2 during process so you will have ii choice, either restart procedure from start or wink this time with LGUP. Because telephone is now running a fully stock firmware information technology should exist detected by LGUP completely. Y'all can merely flash kdz with LGUP and it will not testify big 2 on screen. Yous need to starting time LGUP with uppercut.

Ans: Thanks, yous asked, Only download LG Wink Tool attached in 2d post, unzip, install tool, there volition be a megalock.dll besides, copy that to installation folder (by default that'southward "C:\LG\LGFlashTool") and overwrite, (written in install. Instructions too within zip).

I followed this guide through all the steps since my device was unknown in LGUP (patched).

Now I'thousand stuck with nice LG boot logo (not even the warning screen), TWRP and unlocked bootloader with working fastboot commands.

No matter whichever rom I flash through TWRP, I terminate upward on the LG logo when I reboot, rooted or non. I have tried H910_10r, LOS 15.1, LOS 14.ane with respective gamma kernels or without and I can't get past the LG logo. Also, there is no LG Flash tool compatible DLL for H915 / H910 / H910PR. Only only H918 on the website you mentioned.
I take 3 USB Blazon-C cables which all work with QPST factory reset for Lenovo ZUK Z2 and I've tried both USB 2.0 besides equally USB 3.0 ports on my two laptops. Both take drivers test-signing enabled and I've flashed kdz'south in the past without whatsoever hassle.

Alright I used the LGUPc.dll with the kdz and ended upward with error at four%

then I selected common dll and the extracted .dz file.

You said yous were rooted before. Which means you aboot is from us996. So you need to wink us996 kdz (forth us996 dz) using this method. If y'all want to use that kdz yous have then you need to restore your abootbackup.
I recommend download us996 and flashing information technology. After that you're phone volition be detected then lgup then you can wink stock original kdz if y'all want to.

You said you were rooted earlier. Which ways you aboot is from us996. And so you need to flash us996 kdz (along us996 dz) using this method. If you desire to use that kdz you accept so you need to restore your abootbackup.
I recommend download us996 and flashing it. After that you're telephone volition be detected and then lgup then you lot can flash stock original kdz if you want to.

I take US996_10f kdz too and its in the same boat. Same error at four%

I'm now fully stock merely the download mode shows 633A B50 on the condition screen.

So what I figured out was, run LGUP, but instead of clicking "UPGRADE", run it every bit "REFURBISH."

Nice Write-up! Thank God this hasn't happened to me, I have just needed to use the LGUP to unbrick my telephone. I did have trouble getting Download Mode after millions of various upgrades. What I plant out is that if you take a flaky cable yous might never become into download mode, so brand sure to endeavor a couple of USB-C cables before you give up and start from scratch. It just might exist your USB cable.

how to adapt for h910 ?

This process was tested with H990ds.

How would it piece of work for a h910 in this state of display whitenoise static (link to showtime of several posts)?

What would be different for my bricked h910? and e.g. This site has only files for the 918.
